We are NEMA Photography!

Thank you for stopping by and welcome to our blog! We are a husband and wife team located in Rancho Penasquitos, CA. My name is Marlana and my husband is Edmond. We are Lifestyle Photographers. We shoot weddings and portrait sessions. We work on location using natural lighting and we love to be creative with flashes. We enjoy meeting new people and going new places. You may be thinking why NEMA? Well, we are two artisitc individual photographers that merged as a team when we got married. Our last name is Negado and my Maiden name is Magsino. We combined the two and came up with NEMA Photography! On our blog, we post some of our favorite images from recent shoots…and anything that might be going on with Ed and I. We have three beautiful children and wonderful families which make apperances every now and then! If you are interested in a photo session, or have any questions, feel free and send us a line or two @ info@nemaphotography.net  Come on all you blog followers.. drop us a comment, it will make our day! -Ed & Mar

Family Friday’s | Charger season 2009

How many of you love to take pictures with family & friends, and then never have the time to upload and share them? We are definitely guilty of that :) So…we decided to start FAMILY FRIDAY’S!!! yay!!! Family Friday’s will basically be about us, about our adventures, about our kids, and truely about those moments we’ve captured with our family and friends, but never had the chance to share them!! So, with that said, I introduce you to our very first Family Friday! :)

The San Diego Super Chargers!!! If you don’t know it by now, Edmond and I are huge fans of the San Diego Chargers. We seriously have bbq’s every Sunday like most of you San Diegan’s do, to cheer on our Chargers. Win or loose, we loove football! A good game with awesome beer, calls for a great Sunday afternoon at the Negado’s/ Magsino’s residence. The pictures were taken in my fathers backyard. I believe it was half time when I gathered my dad, brother & gf, the kids, ed, and I to snap some shots! And of course some of my dad’s compare’s ( friends)!! The video is not in high def…boo! (it’s not that cheap to upgrade :) ) but I think you will enjoy it! Again, Stay tuned every friday to see what the latest and greatest is going on with the Negado’s!!! Enjoy!
(Oh..I almost forgot…I put this slide show together on Animoto.com.)

Tangub- Cunanan Wedding | San Diego Wedding Photographer

Mark & Joanna are one of the sweetest couples we’ve met. We actually met them the day of their wedding at the Bible Baptist Church in National City.! It definitely wasn’t a problem for us! Within the short amount of time that we met, both Mark and Joanna, were comfortable, relaxed, and felt at ease around us. Once we got going, it seemed as though we were really good friends just shooting their wedding. Mark & Joanna, we hope you enjoy your teasers! Here’s to A life full of love, health, and lots of children!!! :)

How cool is this…They had the whole ceremony streaming to their home town in the Philipines… you wouldn’t see this 15 years ago!

Joanna sung a beautiful song to Mark during the ceremony. You have a stunning voice indeed!

Joanna, you were way cute!! She was a little shy to kiss her hubby… but don’t worry, she did of course :)

Remember, live stream to the Phillipines? After the ceremony, both Joanna and Mark had a chance to speak to their family back home. Technology now is unbelieveable!!

It was fascinating to Ed and I how many young photographers there were at their celebration. We had to take a picture of all of them! You guys were definitely juiced up to capture their special day!!!

Congrats again to the both of you! Thank you for letting NEMA capture your delightful day :)

2010 WPPI Trade Show Day 2+3 | Las Vegas, NV

In the Morning, we headed to Colorati’s booth to hang out with Leon. Btw, we are now proud clients of Colorati!! If you are swamped with your post production and would like to free up your time and shoot more, I definitely encourage you to check out the awesome services of Colorati. Here we are with Leon & Katie..Oh & Thanks again for the itunes gift card! sweeeet! :-)

While hanging out with Colorati, I happened to notice someone who looked like Jeff Youngren. Edmond and I have been to one of their PUG’s before but weren’t able to meet and greet. I checked out his badge, and sure enough it was Jeff! We finally met both him and his wife Erin Youngren. These two are great wedding photographers! They are an awesome couple and are really caring. I can’t express how happy we are to finally meet you both!! Inspirational! (btw, Jeff you were right!!! talk about sharp at f/1.2! )

During the show we sat down and listened in on a few inspirational and talented photographers (I call them artists!) The first was Kevin Kubota. He was at the Nikon Booth showcasing his awesome work along with his unique style. He explained in detail on how his shots were made; which were all awesome! Other than being a great photographer, he has developed some kick-ass post production actions and software!

The next talk we watched was Becker at the WHCC Booth. He talked about branding your photography business and how making your mark launches your business into a profitable one. He explained that being consistent is memorable which I totally agree! but other than his talk, we are also blog followers of his work!

Last, Ed and I checked out Canon’s Booth to test out some of Canons new gear. We played with the Canon 1D Mark IV, and what can I say, the camera is fast and well balanced! Ed wanted to try out how the 135mm f/2L performs, and also wanted to check out the new version of the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II. The Canon Booth was a drool-worthy equipment teaser!

So that was our 2010 WPPI Trip! Ed and I had an awesome time at the Convention and Trade Show! We finally narrowed down our Labs, and better yet, got inspired!
