There were so many times where I thought I could do it, where I’d start, and then eventually I’d be right back where I started. I never really had a weight problem growing up, it was really all of the baby weight that I gained with my pregnancies. I knew I was “chunky”, but never mind it. I was married, happy, and had everything that I needed. So why bother? Then, It all changed. One of my dear friends, Shing, and I had a conversation about loosing weight. She mentioned to me that she started eating healthy. That it’s a lifestyle change, not a diet. Little did she know that at that moment, It hit me. My Ah ha! So, on October 14th of 2010, I committed myself to a new lifestyle. When I first started the change, I was watching what I ate and I counted all my calories. I started at 1,600 and then worked down to 800 calories a day. Then there was the gym. Oh boy, that was a tough one at first. I was at the gym doing cardio for an hour and I hated it, but I wanted it so bad, that I worked for it. Day in and day out. It got to a point where If I didn’t go, I’d feel “yucky”, lazy, and really tired. Then there’s drinking enough water. I drank and still do about a gallon a day. Try it, it’s really not that hard! Long story short, I made that change. I’ve realized how important it is to stay fit and to eat in moderation the things that we love. First things first… Love yourself, commit to yourself, have time for yourself, and the transformation will change your life!

Owynn’s 4th birthday was yesterday, Jan. 9th, and we decided on a very intimate gathering with just our immediate family. I love these photographs! If you know Owynn he’s very shy and doesn’t like taking pictures. Though its just a few, I smiled at each and every one that Ed captured while we were singing Happy birthday to him! He’s my handsome!

They are getting big too fast!!

It seemed as though it was only yesterday when I delivered a beautiful lil boy and then 15 months later, a baby girl. I still can’t believe three whole years have gone by. Our lil boy, Owynn, AND our lil girl, EllaMae have started pre-school. Yup, pre-school. It was a hard decision to place EllaMae into pre-school because she really is still a baby at only 29 months. But after being in the program for four weeks now, her vocabulary has really improved. She gets along well with all the other kids, and enjoys doing arts and crafts. Owynn also loves going to pre-school! Every morning he’s excited to get up, out of bed, and out the door. His excitment and eagerness is so cute to watch. Ed and I couldn’t be any happier taking them to the Lil people program.
