Chau and Dat were married at the Good Shepherd Parish on a beautiful day where their families and friends gathered together to witness their vows. As they thanked us at the end of the night, I could honestly feel the depth of gratitude from Chau and Dat. And I wondered if there would ever be the words to explain to them what that meant to us. To make them hear it the way I felt it. I just know that there are really incredible people in this world. People who are genuine and who radiate love and grace out to all who surround them. I know this, because I got to photograph them. And more importantly because I now get to call them friends. Chau and Dat, and to all of your families, we will never forget how good you were to us.

Sheri and Kennon’s relationship has grown into this precious bond that is truly unbreakable! We are soo happy for the both of you. We hope your marriage lasts a lifetime and your happiness continues to bloom.

We started the day off with Sheri and her girls… i tell you Sheri looked stunning!

Loved her dress and shoes..

The flowers were elegant, simple, and popped with Sheri’s colors!

Sheri surprised her bridesmaids with these awesome handmade hangers that she made for them. They were very cute!

*Here’s an awesome tip, If you have a corset dress, attach a safety pin to the end. It speeds up the process 10x
Sheri got in her dress in no time with the help of her mother and her sis-in-law.

Sheri’s flower girls were soo adorable!

While I hung out with the ladies, Ed was over with Kennon and his groomsmen and groomsgirls

Aileen & Hung Part 1 Wedding | San Diego wedding photographer

Aileen and Hung’s special celebration started off with the tradition of their tea ceremony. A tea ceremony is considered a significant event in a Chinese wedding. This takes place on the wedding day itself when all of the members of the family are present. Tea is used in Chinese wedding ceremonies because it symbolizes respect. On the wedding day, the groom comes to the brides house with lots of food and flowers for her. The grooms mission is to ask her girls if he could see her and marry her. Gifts are given as well money in order for him to see his bride. Once convinced, the groom is welcomed in. The tea ceremony begins. Both the bride and groom serve tea to her parents & relatives. This act is in respect and gratitude for all the years of love and care for her. In return, both the bride and groom receive red envelopes with money or jewelry is placed on them. Blessings for a happy marriage or abundant of wealth & children are also given to the couple. After the couple are finished with the brides family, the couple continue to the grooms house, and the process is repeated.

Edmond and I were touched by all the blessings that were given to them. We felt all the Love, respect, and kindness amongst the two families. Both families made our expericence ten times more than what we could ever ask for! Aileen & Hung, your day was special. It was a day full of smiles and celebration! We again would like to thank you for allowing us to capture your beautiful day. We loved every minute of it! Kindly enjoy part 1!
